WIND RIVER RANCH | Historic McMeekin Ranch. 97.75 private acres completely surrounded by approximately 206,000 acres of Idaho’s Gospel-Hump Wilderness. This rare wilderness inholding offers over one mile of Wind River frontage and encompasses the confluence of Meadow Creek, creating direct private access into two remote drainages for exceptional hunting and recreation. Mostly level to gently sloping land follows the river through meadows, timber and park-like settings—a remarkable contrast to the steep, rugged wilderness surrounding it. Tucked away from the trail with no public access through the property and no easements in place, the ranch offers exceptional privacy, wildlife habitat and solitude. Original 1903 log cabin remains in use. Access is 3 miles by Forest Service-maintained trail from the Main Salmon River, approximately 22 miles from Riggins. A truly rare private foothold within one of Idaho’s great wilderness landscapes. Watch the video to immerse yourself in the Wind River Ranch experience.
